Interference/Dual control solution strategies for Audi (2018 and earlier)

For A1/Q3/Concert with steering wheel controls –

Ensure the central instrument cluster is displaying MEDIA/AUX input when using steering controls to navigate

For cars with central MMI controls –

• On Audi MMI, in Nav-Settings – Voice Guidance, set to mute/off (Alternatively, whilst navigation voice prompt is being spoken, turn the volume control knob down to mute)
  • Press NAV on MMI controls to switch into CarPlay/Android Auto, then press the MEDIA button to switch to AUX.
  • With phone disconnected from Audi MMI Bluetooth, after switching into CarPlay display using NAV button, hit the TEL button on central MMI controls.
