Hard Reset Guide

In the event of a failed software update – you will need to manually trigger the IDCORE box to retry the update process following the steps below – for the best results, ensure you are using an approved IDCORE flash drive.

1) Locate the brown ‘KEY IN’ wire on the IDCORE power loom and strip the end to expose the bare wire – Ensure that the IDCORE box is switched ON and displaying (even if black screen)

2) Locate the recessed reset button on the IDCORE box (next to the dip switches) and press this once, whilst at the same time touching the exposed KEY IN wire against a metal surface such as the car headunit casing for up to 15 seconds.

3) You should after 15 seconds or so see the software update progress screen appear, please ensure this is allowed to complete successfully and follow the onscreen prompts.
