How to enable CarPlay music playback via factory Bluetooth audio streaming
Your vehicle must support Bluetooth audio streaming. Only iPhone supports this function.
When this mode is enabled, CarPlay voice prompts including directions from navigation apps cannot be heard through Bluetooth streaming, you will only hear music.
- Ensure the iPhone is connected to OEM bluetooth and music streaming is selected as media source on OEM menu.
- On the iPhone, sound output source needs to select OEM bluetooth, such as Audi, Land Rover rather than CarPlay. Sound output menu as shown below.
To revert back to output Apple CarPlay sound from aux
1. On the car, aux is selected as media source
2. On the iPhone, sound output select CarPlay rather than OEM bluetooth.
